Introduction and bamboo selection
Learn the history and characteristics of matcha tea whisk (chasen) production. Select the bamboo suitable for making it together with the artisan.
Carving and shaping
Learn the cutting technique by observing the artisan. Carve and shape your own matcha tea whisk from the bamboo piece you selected.
Finishing
Complete and refine your matcha tea whisk by shaping the tines and applying the binding thread. Check the quality of your unique handcrafted creation.
