"Must visit when you're in Nara!"
Great experience in Nara! Mike is so knowledgeable about tea, but also about local history and he was happy to share with us a lot of interesting information, about tea making process, different types of tea, Nara history and culture, Japanese history, and we really appreciate it. He was also so kind to answers all of our questions and give us recommendations in the area based on our interests. He made us come back to Nara in the future and I'll want to book another workshop.

"Truly above and beyond all of our expectations!"
Our experience was outstanding. Our guide, Mike, was incredibly informative. He explained the differences in green teas, how they are grown, when they are harvested, etc. We learned about how to roast hojicha, the different levels of roasting, and were able to sample the different levels of the roasted hojicha tea. Each person in our group had the opportunity to roast a sample of hojicha to their individual preference. After we were done roasting, Mike sealed it for us in a bag to take back home.
